Who We Are
Rodney J. Fry, P.Eng. is a registered Professional Environmental & Geotechnical Engineer with over 25 years of field operations experience specializing in environmental and ground disturbance management for major linear construction projects (pipeline & highway), industrial and oil & gas sectors. Mr. Fry has been providing clients with on-the-job field and technical consulting support for implementation of projects involving environmental management programs for construction impacts mitigation, ground disturbance compliance management, waste management, regulatory liaison, staff environmental awareness training, and support for compliance with all aspects of your project's permit conditions.
Whether engaged independently, retained as a senior associate onto an existing project team or working with RJ Fry Assoc. Ltd's existing support team of technical associates, we are well prepared to deliver the client's requirements. RJ Fry Assoc. Ltd. is licensed to practice engineering within multiple provincial jurisdictions across Canada.
Who We Are
Spencer R. Fry, P.Eng. is a registered Professional Civil Engineer with nearly 10 years of construction experience specializing in survey, design, and on-site management of provincial and municipal infrastructure projects. Spencer has applied his technical knowledge as well as project management skills, tools and techniques to meet project requirements and expectations of the clients and stakeholders with the following responsibilities:
- Construction Engineer Lead in supporting project activities with the implementation of the design drawings & plans/specifications and with field inspection, quality control and documentation. Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants and design team to support field implementation for construction activities.
- Survey Engineer for execution of project to design specifications. Including extensive experience with use of all field survey equipment methodologies, data processing, drafting and plan development. Experienced as a Drone Pilot for conducting aerial quantity and construction progress surveys and video surveillance data processing. Including flight planning and NOTAM development.
- Engineer-of-Record on-site utilizing project management software and other Civil 3D and GIS systems to develop & supervise the production and implementation of tender documents/specifications including geotechnical, grading, site improvement (surface & underground) & erosion control plans. On-site Inspection Engineer for preparation of required project control documentation for quantities, cost control, scheduling and reporting.
- Geotechnical for supporting the Design Team with field supervision of sub-surface investigations, drainage, sediment and erosion control management for roadways, ditches and culvert installations. Field Construction inspection, testing and monitoring. Subgrade compaction & asphalt testing & traffic management programs. Earthwork analyses & blasting operations.
